Headteacher (Bletchingley) - Denise Coady

Denise joined Bletchingley Village Primary School in September 2024, having started her teaching career in 1995.  During her career, Denise has taught every year group, from Nursery to Year 7, across five different local authorities. 

Denise's leadership journey started in 2012, becoming SENDCo and inclusion lead in a three-form entry school. She has also held the posts of Assistant Headteacher, and Deputy Headteacher before becoming a Headteacher in 2018. Denise has also trained staff on Personal Development and Mental Health in schools within a Multi Academy Trust, and has been seconded to other schools in that Trust to support  them with leadership and school improvement. 

Denise passionately believes in the development of the whole child, preparing them for the future, inspiring a love of learning and providing an excellent education for all.  She values lifelong learning, and since completing her Bachelor of Education degree, she has also completed her SENDCOo qualification, NPQH and is currently completing her NPQEL.

Outside work, Denise enjoys reading, Pilates, walking her dog Bella and spending time with family and friends.
