Join as a Trustee

We pride ourselves on being warm and welcoming at Tandridge Learning Trust.

We’re passionate about giving every child in each of our seven schools the chance to shine – to achieve the most they possibly can.  We believe in learning – that excellent teaching inspires a lifetime of success.  We also believe that by working with like-minded people who share the values we hold dear, we can deliver greater efficiency, share best practice and grow.

Tandridge Learning Trust was created on 1st May 2017. We brought together an existing standalone secondary school academy trust, Warlingham School & Sixth Form College, and four maintained primary schools: Bletchingley Village, Hamsey Green, Tatsfield and Woodlea to form a cross-phase multi-academy trust.  Hurst Green Infant School & Nursery and Felbridge Primary School joined us in 2024.

We’re in a good place now – we’re beginning to achieve some of the benefits that we visualised when we formed and the relationships and opportunities for working together across all of the schools are developing well.  We’re delighted that all four of our primary schools have been judged to be Good by Ofsted – including one that was RI for many years. The secondary school also has a 'Good' Ofsted rating.

There are huge opportunities – assets to maximise, savings to be made, imaginative solutions to be found and so much we can do to enhance learning for our children, especially at this time when we are beginning to think creatively about what the future of education looks like for us all.  Trustees play an essential part in guiding the strategic direction of the Trust, holding the leadership to account whilst being supportive, and ensuring that we spend public funds prudently and for the best possible outcomes.

We are always keen to attract people who can bring an enquiring mind, an ability to interrogate data, to ask challenging questions, and to provide both support and challenge to our executive.

There is a job description for the role of a Trustee available to download below. While it is accurate, it doesn’t convey the satisfaction and rewards of working with a group of like-minded volunteers to deliver better life chances for the young people in our communities.

We very much hope that you will consider joining us as a Trustee of Tandridge Learning Trust.

If you would like to discuss the role, please feel free to phone the Trust on 01883 776677 or email info@tandridgelearningtrust.co.uk and someone will be in touch with you.

Tandridge Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to demonstrably share this commitment.
