Chief Executive Officer
Salary – £110,000 p.a. – £125,000 p.a.
Permanent, full-time role.
Here is a unique opportunity to join a young multi-phase MAT. This is an ideal role for anyone looking to develop their leadership career; to steer the direction of a Trust and to help it develop and grow over the next few years, building upon a good platform that the schools have worked hard to achieve over the last 18 months.
Based in Warlingham, you’ll be leading a Trust in the NE Surrey area comprising four primaries plus a former standalone secondary academy graded good – all schools are between two minutes’ walk and 20 mins drive away.
This role has both challenge and scope to make a difference, if you have the drive, energy and a passion to give every child in each of our five schools the chance to shine – to achieve the most they possibly can, here is the foundation on which to bring about progressive, positive change.
We can offer you:
- five great schools with a sixth in the wings
- a Trust ready to move into the next exciting phase of its existence
- an experienced, committed and hugely capable executive team
- an ambitious, supportive and experienced board of trustees
- the chance to shape the Trust, to deliver excellence and great success.
We passionately believe in learning – that excellent teaching inspires a lifetime of success. We continue to work tirelessly to improve learning outcomes for our children.
We strongly believe that by working with like-minded people who share the values we hold dear, we can deliver greater efficiency, share best practice and grow. Relationships and collaborative opportunities for working together across all of the schools are developing well. Recent moves towards combining support services are resulting in a more efficient and cost-effective operation.
Alongside the challenges still to be overcome there are huge opportunities – assets to maximise, savings to be made, imaginative solutions to be found and so much we can do to enhance learning for our children.
Although sad that our current CEO has decided to retire at the end of the year, we are seizing this opportunity to appoint a, committed, empathetic, challenging successor, who can bring vision, drive, passion, enthusiasm and a keen sense of humour to the role whilst continuing to build strong relationships with staff, trustees and the wider community.
You’ll succeed with us if you are highly professional and a great communicator. You’ll be a results-focused, independent thinking self-starter, with excellent problem-solving skills. We’ll find you persuasive, inspirational, motivating, imaginative and above all, positive about the possibilities for the Trust.
If you find this opportunity attractive, and exciting, we welcome your application and look forward to hearing from you. Please complete the Trust’s application form and equality form and submit them with a covering letter explaining why your skills and experience equip you for this role. Please note that we do not accept CVs; applications must be on the Trust’s application form.
You are most welcome to visit the Trust before committing yourself to an application. Please contact Judith Standen, HR Manager, to arrange this: J.Standen@tandridgelearningtrust.co.uk, Tel: 01883 624067 ext. 2014. Please note that we will be responding to emails and voicemail messages during the Easter holidays.
If you would find it beneficial to have a brief conversation with the Chair of the Trust Board, or the current CEO, we will do our best to facilitate that.
